Repara Tus Retiros (Recalls) De Seguridad Hoy

21 de octubre de 2020, WASHINGTON -  La Administración Nacional de Seguridad del Tráfico en las Carreteras (NHTSA) del Departamento de Transporte de EEUU exhorta a todos los dueños de vehículos a que tomen acción inmediata cuando son notificados de un retiro (recall) de seguridad y que se comuniquen con el concesionario local de su fabricante de vehículos para programar una reparación gratuita. A pesar de los avisos de retiro del mercado y las advertencias públicas, algunos vehículos y equipos de vehículos con recalls nunca son reparados.


OFCCP Publishes Request for Information

Today, OFCCP published a Request for Information (RFI) in the Federal Register seeking information from federal contractors, federal subcontractors, and employees of federal contractors and subcontractors regarding the training, workshops, or similar programming provided to employees. The RFI requests that federal contractors, subcontractors and their employees provide copies of any training, workshop, or similar programming having to do with diversity and inclusion as well as information about the duration, frequency, and expense of such activities in response.

OFCCP continuously looks for ways to improve compliance assistance to the federal contracting community and will use the information submitted to develop materials and focus its enforcement of Executive Order 13950, "Combating Race and Sex Stereotyping."

As part of its efforts in support of affirmative action and nondiscrimination in employment, OFCCP will also provide compliance assistance to companies that provide materials through the request. You can find OFCCP's compliance assistance resources by clicking the link below.



Newly released data from the Federal Trade Commission reveal that there has been a surge in reports from people who say they lost money to a scam that started on social media, including a spike of these complaints in the spring at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

21 de octubre de 2020, GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico - Los centros de recuperación por desastre en Aguada y Hormigueros cesarán sus operaciones el viernes, 23 de octubre a las 6 p.m., pero los residentes afectados por la tormenta tropical Isaías todavía pueden obtener ayuda con sus solicitudes a FEMA para asistencia por desastre.

Se aprobó sobre $1 millón en asistencia federal para los sobrevivientes de Isaías en Puerto Rico

20 de octubre de 2020, GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico - Se aprobó sobre $1 millón en subvenciones de FEMA y préstamos por desastre de la Agencia Federal para el Desarrollo de la Pequeña Empresa (SBA, por sus siglas en inglés) para ayudar a los residentes afectados por la tormenta tropical Isaías que causó deslizamientos de tierra e inundaciones en el oeste de Puerto Rico a finales de julio.

This week, I joined the Chamber's Brazil-U.S. Business Council (BUSBC) for its 2020 U.S.-Brazil Connect Summit, sitting down for (virtual) conversations with U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, and Director of the U.S. National Economic Council Larry Kudlow. New Study Shows Lawsuit System Costs Small Businesses

The Institute for Legal Reform released a new report today showing America's lawsuit system disproportionately impacts small businesses. The report found that in 2018, the U.S. tort system's commercial liability costs totaled $343 billion. Small businesses with under $10 million in annual revenue bore $182 billion-or 53%-of those costs, even though they accounted for 19% of business revenue.

Para diagnosticarlo, existe la mamografía, el mejor estudio para detectarlo de manera temprana y mucho antes de que presenten síntomas.
  • Mantén un peso saludable y haz ejercicio regularmente.
  • Limita el consumo de alcohol.
  • Pregunta a tu médico sobre los riesgos de usar hormonas.
  • Lacta tus bebés siempre que sea posible.

Nonprofit partnership achieves Guajataca Tunnel revitalization

When you travel to the west of Puerto Rico, you can see the coast of the municipality of Quebradillas and Isabela, particularly the Guajataca Tunnel, one of the most beautiful coastal views on the entire island. What for decades was a tourist attraction, being the gateway to Isabela from Quebradillas, and a place where history and nature came together, for years has been in complete abandonment - a situation that worsened after Hurricane Maria. Today, thanks to the teamwork of several non-profit organizations, community groups, municipal governments and businesses in the region, as well as their donations and economic contributions, the northwest region has a revitalized Guajataca Tunnel, ready to receive visitors.

Implementación de Actividades de Mercadeo de Negocios

El Departamento de la Vivienda (DV), está emitiendo esta Solicitud de Propuestas (RFP, por sus siglas en inglés) para los servicios de implementación de actividades de mercadeo de negocios bajo la asignación de fondos CDBG-DR. El DV busca seleccionar la firma que asistirá en la implementación y administración del Programa de Turismo y Negocios de CDBG-DR que tendrá como objetivo atraer inversión a través de iniciativas de mercadeo de negocios que también fomentarán el crecimiento de la economía a largo plazo.


 















Los profesionales de la salud que tengan síntomas de COVID-19 o sospecha de haberse contagiado podrán acudir a las facilidades del Colegio de Médicos Cirujanos de Puerto Rico, lunes a viernes de 8:00am a 5:00pm, para realizarse la prueba diagnóstica rápida que los saque de dudas. 

El doctor Víctor Ramos, presidente del Colegio, informó que esta gestión se realiza en alianza con la Asociación de IPA's, la Cámara de Comercio de Puerto Rico, el Colegio de Enfermería Práctica y organizaciones aliadas a la salud. El servicio es libre de costo, los profesionales de la salud solo necesitan llevar una orden médica y sacar cita antes de ir.
