Pretty awesome👍 No negative issues. Google Lens has been a very helpful tool for me. It's so fun to learn so much simply by snapping a picture! I personally am into animals, wildlife and all the other critters you see in the outdoors. I use to think any spider was scary. Google lens lets identify what kind of spider it is, maybe more importantly, learn what kind of spider it "isn't" and gain a lot of knowledge about them. Best app ever !!

There are several apps identifying plants on Play Store. They all charge a fee, have short trial periods, or overwhelm with ads. After trying several to ID a single plant on my property I decided to give Google Lens a test. Faster, accurate results. no ads or fees. It was the only app that provided the common name and not just its Latin name. We found a chrome rack when packing for a move. We did not know what it went to. Lens identified it: whirlpool MW rack.

It's a decent app. It has its trouble recognizing stuff half the time, giving only things with vague color schemes as results, but I'm going to chalk it up to the technology not being as advanced as it could be, maybe bc of the budget. You used to be able to select text quite easily but they have removed it unless it is translated or the text is recognized in the original language, which it has gotten worse at :/ It was really useful and kinda bummed to see it gone.
