Description

Under the guidance of and supervision of special educators, paraeducators can play a key role in supporting students with disabilities across different educational settings. The quality of the services that paraeducators provide to students with disabilities is directly related to the training they receive. This training provides paraeducators a framework for understanding special education terminology, an overview of their roles and responsibilities when working with students in a school setting, and reviews academic, behavioral, and functional strategies that support student success.
