Discovery Park and the Office of the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships are celebrating 150 years of research at Purdue by showcasing research stories from the Giant Leaps campaign.

Throughout June, the Discovery Park and Research@Purdue social media accounts will feature research in the areas of space exploration, artificial intelligence, health and longevity, and sustainable economy and planet as well as cross-cutting pieces that showcase two or more of these areas. The accounts can be found on Twitter and Facebook. A web-based feed also will be available for those who don’t follow social media. The posts, which will be noted with the hashtag #PurdueResearch150, will appear each day at 8 a.m.

“Discovery Park is proud of its involvement in Purdue’s sesquicentennial celebration. We are excited to combine world-renowned speakers and Purdue expertise to try to solve today's global challenges,” says Tomás Díaz de la Rubia, vice president for Discovery Park. “Purdue has such a rich history in research. This is a great opportunity to share where we have come from and where we are headed in the future. Discovery Park is known for collaborating across disciplines and with policymakers and business leaders to create solutions for a better world. The strategic themes of Discovery Park align with Purdue’s Giant Leaps campaign.”

In addition, Discovery Park has created a new website, "150 Years of Giant Leaps in Research." This site features many Ideas Festival events (upcoming and past) as well as other research stories from the Giant Leaps campaign.
