Your challenge is to imagine leading a one-week expedition at the Moon's South Pole - with the whole world cheering you on. Tell us about the types of skills, attributes, and/or personality traits that you would want your Moon Pod crew to have and why. How many would be in your pod? Path Forward Looks at COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution

Path Forward: COVID-19 and the Vaccine Supply Chain

On today's Path Forward, Chamber President Suzanne Clark talked with experts about COVID-19 vaccine development and how safe and effective ones will be distributed.

What is the FDA looking for as vaccines undergo clinical trials? "What the FDA really wants to see is what does that efficacy data look like? They want to see at lease 50% efficacy," said David Hering, President of North America for Pfizer Vaccines. "And they want to see the safety data."

Who will get access to vaccines first? How the vaccine is distributed will "probably vary from state to state depending on the guidance of the federal government," said Dr. Eric Cioe-Pena, Director of Global Health for Northwell Health.

Will a vaccine be safe? "I have full confidence that when I get offered a vaccine that it will have gone through the clinical studies needed to show it's safe and effective, and I'll be in line to get it," Dr. Cioe-Pena added.

This Dining Rewards App Carved a Pandemic Niche by Becoming a Multisource Sales Platform for Restaurants

Mobile app Seated, which launched in 2017, began as a platform that rewarded users with perks like gift cards for dining out with one of its restaurant partners in a handful of major cities.

Amid the pandemic, the past six months have forced the startup to expand much faster than originally planned. It's pivoted to layer in pickup and delivery orders and event bookings into its digital offering, buoyed by $30 million in new funding and its August acquisition of VenueBook, a reservations app for private events.

What a Grocery Manager Won't Say to Anti-Maskers
October 9

Enforcing Montana's statewide mask mandate is part of supermarket manager John Steenwyk's job. It puts him in the crosshairs of anti-maskers, and while he tells them a lot of things to convince them to wear masks, there's one thing he won't say to them, even though he could.  CNN Senior Writer Thomas Lake tells the story of a battle over masks playing out in a grocery store at the edge of Yellowstone National Park.
